A native South Floridian with Trinidadian and Venezuelan roots, Vanessa is a graduate of The Florida State University with a degree in Spanish and Mass Media Studies. She was Clear Channel Tallahassee’s first Music Director and Program Director for WBWT-FM.

She was Miami’s WMIB-FM 103.5 The Beat’s Music and Marketing Director and hosted a popular midday show. Vanessa launched Vanessa James Media in 2008, which showcases her dynamic voice-over talent. She now voices over 20 of the nation’s most renowned radio and television stations and brands nationwide. Vanessa serves as the voice of: WKTU-FM (103.5) New York City, KMEL-FM (106.7) San Francisco, (93.5) Toronto, WJPZ-FM New York, WRDW-FM Philly (96.5), WBQT-FM Boston (96.9). She lends her voice talents to several nationwide brand campaigns including Open English, Macy’s, HP, Starbucks, Microsoft, RCA and Warner Music groups, Monster Products, and most recently Animal Planet and VH-1.
