Jamila formed SocaSaySo to answer to the ever-echoing question, “why hasn’t Soca crossed over?” She believes that Soca artists have worked to market individual songs but the genre needs a marketing push. She creates content to spread the word about how great this music genre is and highlight the talented players in the industry. On her weekly live show #TuneTuesday she plays classic and new Soca tunes and interviews Soca artistes. She also creates vlogs on issues from a Soca lover’s perspective.
